    "Unionizing" the CF (merged)

Would the NDA retain s79 and 80 in their current forms if the CAF unionized? You're likely right, which could lead to job action to protect union positions from being eliminated or contracted out. Imagine how slow it would be if NDHQ worked to rule..... If the Reg F were unionized, I expect...

    "Unionizing" the CF (merged)

A very powerful and recent example of the impact of work to rule (doing your job exactly as ordered, with no exercise of discretion or judgement and following every law, regulation, order, directive, SOP etc. slavishly regardless of how byzantine, irrelevant or unproductive) was the job action...

Rebuild Basic Officer training: {SPLIT from:] Sexual Misconduct Allegations in The CAF

I worked with him when he was a Maj in ADM (IM). Back then I was impressed. Now, I'm just disappointed....again.

    Liberal Minority Government 2021 - ????

Why should the government care about the costs of services to rural customers? So what if they pay more than urban subscribers. Rural Canada is not where the bulk of the votes are.

Maybe they will be asking for more than the government is able to give. Maybe not.

Videos reveal moldy, disgusting Camp Lejeune barracks where Marines are forced to live

Those shacks were insulated, albeit poorly. I saw the insulation when a couple were being demolished for black mould. I had heard they were originally accommodations at DEW line sites that were moved to CRPTC when those sites were decommissioned. That would make them at least 50 years old.

    Rick's Napkin Forces Challenge

That's exactly why the FOBs were built in Farnham about 10 years ago. This was the same time that bayonet fighting was added to the CAF common BMQ syllabus and many of the small party tasks revolved around FP.

    Rick's Napkin Forces Challenge

There is a lot of redundancy between the NCMGS, Environmental Specs and Occ Specs. Get rid of those and you'll save a ton of time and money. Ditch the Regimental system entirely and you'll save another ton of money. It's divisive and culturally linked to our colonial and oppressive past. Not...

Trudeau U.S. visit delivers wake-up call about new North American reality

There are dozens if not hundreds of "Michaels-in-waiting" still in China to be used as influencers in the future.

    Rick's Napkin Forces Challenge

When I worked in NCMPD, there was a constant cry from the schools and units of "We need courses to be shorter!". When we asked, "What should be cut to make them shorter?' the answer was usually "Everything is important!". This was followed by "We want candidates to arrive better prepared for...

Trudeau U.S. visit delivers wake-up call about new North American reality

Maybe not personally, but he has people that do. As a glaring example, look at the May 1st, 2020 gun ban by OIC and Bill C-21 from the last Parliament. Every potential loophole discussed on social media pages was closed by the OIC and C-21. Every opposing talking point mentioned in pro-gun...

Will 2021 see a new pistol buy?

The regulation that has been repeatedly had it's CIF date pushed to the right? Not yet, they don't. Cost matters little to this Government if it results in more votes..
